Booking campsites now. 102 premium sites (water, electricity, sewer) are available in Treasure Cove and Royal Cay campgrounds.  70 beach overflow sites are available on a limited basis. Restoration is still in progress to bring back the pool and waterpark.

 

Waveland, MS - 2nd Annual Oyster Fest

Waveland, Mississippi is having it's 2nd annual Oyster Fest on April 2, 2011.  The city of Waveland hosts the cutest small town festivals.  They are just so much fun for the whole family!  If you haven't already guest it, Oysters are the main event of this festival.  You can get them anyway you want them; char-grilled, boiled, on the half shell & fried are some of the options.   There is going to be many of our favorite local restaurants showcasing their special oyster dishes.  You are going to want to try them all!  Boutique vendor booth will line Coleman Avenue selling their unique goodies.  This year there is going to be an oyster shucking contest.  Who will have the fastest hands on the coast?!  You will have to come out to see for yourself.  They didn't forget the kids - who enjoy themselves just a much as any adult.  There will be bounce houses, games, oyster shell painting & contests that will keep them busy for hours on end!  All day long there will be bands playing on the beach.  Bring a chair and set up a cozy area on the sand to enjoy the music, food, drinks & atmosphere of our sleepy little beach town! Don't forget to pack your sunscreen.  See y'all there!!!
